The Joey Pintuck Pant: The Perfect Blend of Polished and Practical

I like to keep things simple whenever possible. Sometimes, that’s a strength—it helps me stay organized, focused, and makes life feel more doable. For example, when I create my meal plan, Fridays are always pizza night and Wednesdays are for date night. From there, I just fill in the blanks with a list of favorite meals and a meal planning subscription I use.

Other times, though, simplicity can be a bit of a weakness—like when I plan to eat guacamole, chips, and veggies for lunch all week… and by day three, my kids never want to see guacamole again.

Recently, I realized that this same “keep it simple” mindset had crept into my wardrobe, too. I had jeans and a T-shirt for everyday wear and dresses for Sunday—and that was about it. Through some mentoring, I realized that adding a few pairs of colorful pants could bring quick style and variety to my routine. So I gave it a try—and I’m so glad I did! These Joeys have become one of my new favorites, and I’m so excited to share them with you today.

Sizing and Fit

The Joey Pintuck Pull-On Pant is designed to be fitted and smooth. It features a wide elastic waistband at the top with a medium stretch—no buttons or zippers here!

Because of that, I prefer to wear my Joeys from either down one size to true to size or even one size up - and feel pretty comfortable in all of those sizes without any worries about it being too loose or too tight. They have some stretch to the fabric and I found I could “fit” 2 sizes down and it wasn’t that it felt uncomfortable as in it was so tight I felt like I was squeezing all myself in to fit, but I didn’t like how tight it was around my upper legs and waist look wise. 

Fabric and Feel

The Joey Pintuck Pull-On Pant is made with a techno crepe fabric, a blend of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. It has a medium stretch and a polished, structured look that makes it easy to dress up or down.

Practical Features

The Joey Pintuck Pull-On Pant includes several thoughtful details:

• Pintuck seam at the center front
• Pintuck seam at the center back (less prominent than the front)
• Seamless elastic waistband
• 32” inseam

It should be noted that these pants do not have pockets. Probably their biggest downside in my opinion and I find myself keep trying to find them only to be disappointed. Other than that they are fabulous! 

Clothing Care

I’m the kind of person who avoids the dry cleaners whenever possible—I like clothes that are easy to care for at home.

To keep your Joeys looking their best, wash them by hand in cold water and line dry in the shade. I usually hang mine on a hanger in the bathroom with a fan on. They’re typically dry and ready to wear by the next morning (or later that same day if I wash them early).

You can iron on low if needed, but do not dry clean!

Following the care instructions will help your Joeys stay looking new much longer. The fabric can pill if it isn’t treated properly, so be gentle.

When to Wear Joey

I’d wear my Joeys just about anywhere:

• Every day—they’re colorful and comfortable!
• On a date
• When teaching or giving a school training
• In business casual settings
• At home for a cozy day in

How to Style Joey

Joey is an incredibly versatile pant that pairs beautifully with:

• A blouse or a nice tee
• A cardigan, cover-up, or jacket
• Jewelry to elevate your look

Joey is a year-round staple—you can easily adjust the look for each season just by changing your top or accessories.
